Will co-codamol send me loopy/sleepy?

Living with someone who recently had surgery, naturally the house is now drained of almost all OTC meds! The only thing I can find is co-codamol, which I looked up and is apparently called Tylenol 3 with Codeine or under the generic name "Atasol Codeine" over there in the US in case you don't know what I'm on about. I have awful menstrual cramps and am supposed to be having an all nighter on some work I've been trying to get done for ages and am on a deadline for, so I don't want to take something that's going to send me to sleep or make me high, but at the same time I can't concentrate with this pain! :(
