Need some legal advice. I sold a guy a motorcycle on craigslist for $1,100. I did not say that I was selling the bike as is. I advertised the bike at $1300. He came over and test drove it with his friend who knew a little bit about bikes, but at 18 and having gone through dozens of them I knew a lot more. They were driving the bike home and about a quarter of the way they got to a grocery store and stopped and tried to start it again and it wouldnt start. They tried cranking it for hours and didnt call me till then, which I came over and started it for them in under 5 minutes. Then they take the bike home, and as I found out today it worked fine the first 3 days. But after that the Ignitor box went out, which delivers spark to the plugs and since the bike is from 1981 it's a bit hard to find but not impossible. So they took it to a mechanic of course, being completely incompetent, and he diagnosed it and did a "revamp" of the electrical system. It starts now but only with starting fluid, which according to the mechanic is because of the carburetors being out of adjustment or dirty. I cleaned the carburetors myself although I did not tune them. So it's still at the mechanics shop, and hes going to give an estimate for the carburetor work tomorrow. They put a $315 deposit on it, and today when they called and told me all of this, I said I'd give them $250 back, mainly because I thought they could sue me if I didn't. Also I did this because I have to meet up with them to give them the title. What should I do in this situation? I'm meeting up with them in 2 days, and being 18 and having never been in this situation, I don't know what to do.

I have a small tear right on the inside of my rectum and it always gets better then returns when I am constipated. Unfortunately, with an open tear in that area it is impossible to stop infection and it is very painfull and hard to walk when this happens. Listen it honestly depends what you plan on doing..I lived in both for quite a while, and it's really hard to choose one. Both Australia and Canada have their positives and negatives; so personally, it’d be hard for me to make a decision. It depends on your needs right now, the type of lifestyle you’re looking for, your job & career, things like that. I’ve concluded that Canada is slightly a bit more accepting, the multicultural environment is really present here, and you’ll always run into people from literally every inch of the globe. But for me it was easier to live in Australia, I loved the people and the system there, the weather was much more appealing to me, and if you’re the traveling type of person then Australia is definitely the way to go! I’m serious the country is just so unbelievably gorgeous it can never bore or tire you. Although I have to admit it’s much more expensive over there than in Canada, and I’m talking like basic daily essentials, food, clothes, bills & all that.. It’s cheaper in Canada. Our leasing manager wove him a tale of their current "worst tenants", citing a number of events that never occurred. My question is, can the manager even speak to my father about our personal file (complaints, notices, etc)? My father is nowhere to be found on our lease. My mother co-signed, submitted her personal income and received a background check. Although they are married, the issue is whether or not they can release my file to my father, and on top of it all lie about a good deal of it. My parents also agree with me on this matter. Tingley scalp & hair loss after using hair colour?

A couple of weeks ago I used a permanent hair colour (couleur experte) & when rinsing out noticed a few more hairs had come out than have done in the past when using hair colourants. I wasn't too worried at the time as my hair was not in great condition previous to colouring due to years of highlighting. I thought that it was just due to breakage on the weak bits. However, each time I've washed my hair more seems to come out & my hair which is fine anyway appears to be even finer. Nevus sebaceous on scalp... has it turned serious?

i have a nevus sebaceous (possibly of jadohn) on my scalp since birth. it never gave me any trouble until a few months ago, and now it bothers me everyday. well in laymans terms, a nevus sebacous on the scalp is a hairless patch that can be odd colours, mine is pink! and it's an irregular shape. mine's about 2cm cubed in diameter or so, and it's on the back of my head so i can only see it with a mirror and luckily all my hair covers it as i'm a girl. the problem is, it's now got some kind of lump that has white bumps that i can move and see something that looks like and ulcer underneath?! i've tried savlon, germolene, sudocream and even benovate all too no avail. i'm using special shampoo and i'm careful not to touch it or rub off it, but it still bleeds, flakes and crusts a lot. i also tried to simply rib one of the weird nodules off in the hopes that it would stay gone as it hurts. after profuse bleeding, i saw a bruise and thought yay i finally killed it! but then a few hours later it was back. i just don't understand it. i mean it bleeds for no reason sometimes. very recently i have terrible headaches and i'm so tired i can sleep for days! my only other complaint is reoccuring facial palsy, eye pain and flashing lights in front of my eyes but i ume all of that's not related right? i was just wondering does anybody have any idea what's going on? i feel so worn out it's like i'm a waster and i don't want to bother my family or friends, i mean it's just a patch on my scalp, it really shouldn't cause this much anxiety on my part! i've heard of these birthmarks causing trouble, and i really want to know how and why it happens and what it may mean. anywho, thanks for readin all that babble if you got this far, and thank you to anyone who responds with advice or information on this topic! ;)

I am 15 years old. I am a freshman in high school, and I just got back into band. I took band in 6th and 7th grade, but didn't really pay attention. In 6th grade, I played percussion (but never learned how to read music), and halfway through my 7th grade year, I switched to flute (but learned the notes and rhythms by ear, rather than learning to read them). I love music, and I really love to play it. The problem is I don't know how to read music or rhythms (I know what the notes mean). I remember all the notes on the flute though. I am a co owner in a multi-million dollar business. Our business is doing really well. With our planned obsolescence policy, customers are forced to come back and buy our product. We are not hiring because we have the right amount of laborers which we pay very little so my profit margin is extremely high. So the tax break is not a significant incentive for us to hire. Depends on how social you are and how you interact with others. I was in a dorm in college so I guess it as a bit easier since a lot of us didn't really know anyone so freshman year we all mad ties and went to parties to socialize. The thing with community colleges are that they are local schools, and a lot of students probably still interact with there friends neighborhood. I'm sure there will be plenty of new faces to everyone, but I can see how a lot of students might already have and socialize with long time friends. The best way I would recommend meeting people is to get involved in clubs and after school activities. There you will in a sense be forced to work together , and therefore have a better shot of hanging out both within the school and outside of it. Just be positive and introduce yourself to others and i'm sure you;ll do great.

Gaining Weight!!! YAY!!!?

I have a 5 month old, fully fed, no solids and generally she only puts on 50 - 100 grams a weeks, but this week she put on 300 grams in a week, i just want to say thanks to everyone here that has helped me through the times when she wasn't puttin on much. The Government funds alot of taxpayers $ on abstinance-only program and they leave out important information such as AIDS and std's. In fact, Bush has tripled the their funding and left comprehenseive education very little funding and support. This leaves most public schools who have an increase in teenage pregnancy only teach them the abstinence program b/c this is the only thing Bush funds for and this program has shown that is very ineffective and isn't teaching safe practices, nor preventing teenage pregnancy. The rise of STD'S AND AIDS among young people is a serious problem and there has got to be something they are not teaching properly in school and among parents aswell. Comprehensive programs talk about the importance of protecting yourself and and also the important personal choice of abstinance.

I suggest The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice (sorry, I love these books and when I saw the word vampire I just had to). Also, Artemis Fowl by Eion Colfer (did I spell that correctly? These books are great fantasy) Faerie Wars by Herbie Brennan (okay, slightly juvenile but that's the main character's age mostly). I love The Mists of Avalon (this one is very feminist they are about King Arthur and I found that I really liked it even though it is HUGE). I also like the Golden Comp by Phillip Pullman (the first of His Dark Materials, the second is the Subtle Knife the third is the Amber Spygl beware some "adult" topics in Subtle Knife, and it's a little cheesy after the first half of the second book. As an athlete, the only way I've found to reduce size is stop using the muscles for a while. I had to do this my junior year of high school and dropped a lot of bulk while recovering from a knee injury. How do I handle a huge amount of exams?

I am a medical student and over the easter holidays I will have to undertake a huge amount of essments and written exams, and i don't know how to deal with it. The study period is 6 weeks with 3 weeks after worth of exams, and it gets me so anxious. I had to do something like that last year for my 1st year and it was hell, and now i have even more to do. I heard last year about people doing 10 hours a day of study every day for the whole period and it make me feel bad i can only do about 6 or 7 and i need some days of relaxation. No, because you are thinking in terms of high school grades. A 4.0 in college is much more unusual. In the 7 years that I was chair of a department of about 650 students, I don't think we had more than one or two who graduated with a 4.0. So my cousin recently (about a month or 2 ago) met his 2 twin brothers for the 1st time. He's 21 and their 22. The 3 of them have become inseperable in a very short amount of time however my Aunt seems to be a bit worried. Apparently he stays at their place a lot...and when he's there they play "too rough". He's 5'10 in the 145-155 pound range....both of them are 6'4..275-285 pounds. They rough house a lot, and apparently their apartment smells like a locker room. My aunt is worried because the last time she was over there...the 3 of them all ended up piled on top of one another...with my cousin on the bottom. He was fine, but she didn't like that they had fell on him like that...according to her he could have "suffocated". He says they play a game called "Smear the Queer" with them and some other guys who are also 250+ pounds.. and sometimes pile ons happen and sometimes he's on the bottom. My aunt thinks their too old and too big to be playing rough like that..especially since they all outweigh him by 100+ pounds..however my cousin and his brothers all love it. My uncles says its just boys being boys...my aunt says its men trying to hurt each other...and instead of wrestling around and piling on each other...they should shower and behave like adults.I've met them before and they seem to be pretty calm and mature...they just like to play rough sometimes...should she be worried if no one else is?....I mean everyone has been a dogpile or whatever you call it, right?

Internet Light is Red on Modem (Motorolla 1120)?

Here's the situation. My ethernet light was not on and I could not get connected to the internet. I called my dsl provider and they went through some steps (had me even reset my modem) and came to the conclusion my NIC was damaged. So I bought an external usb ethernet adaptor. I set it up and the ethernet light is now lit up. However, my internet light is still red. I called my dsl provider to help me out and they are being completely annoying and useless. They keep telling me to call their service center where I will have to pay like $139.99 for a call for they can help me 'resolve this issue'. There has to be an easier way. Does anyone know what might be the problem? I tried going to the modems default isp number in internet explorer but it always just says page not available. I have no idea what to do at this point. My mother is so mean to me. Probably because I am her first child, but I can't get her to remove my bedtime. I am 16 and every year she pushes it back half an hour.
