If you're just looking for part-time seasonal work, why move? Companies are not paying relocation fees these days and they never did for part-time work. I can't imagine anywhere having affordable housing for someone working part-time unless you have a lot of savings or you plan on working at least 2 jobs. Manufacturing has been outsourced. The type of work you're looking for is now in China or being done by illegal immigrants.
