Is it too late for me and music?

I am 15 years old. I am a freshman in high school, and I just got back into band. I took band in 6th and 7th grade, but didn't really pay attention. In 6th grade, I played percussion (but never learned how to read music), and halfway through my 7th grade year, I switched to flute (but learned the notes and rhythms by ear, rather than learning to read them). I love music, and I really love to play it. The problem is I don't know how to read music or rhythms (I know what the notes mean). I remember all the notes on the flute though. Is it too late for me to prosper or go to college and study music?
